My Lockbox is totally free and easy to use. You can lock or unlock the folder just one click. For most hiding utilities, the hidden file can be easily discovered if you boot into Safe Mode.

But using My Lockbox, the hidden folder can be protected even in Safe Mode. Take note that you have to check “protect in safe mode” in setting.  You can use a keyboard shortcut key to invoke and Ctr+Shift+P is default. It will be in your windows startup list unless you remove it from the list.

Though it is not a full encryption solution, it can be a good utility if you just want to hide a folder from your friends or family. (Note: For windows only)
