I have been using Launchy for a long time and I love it. But just a few weeks ago, my friend, waiphyo, introduced an application called Enso which is free also. I have tried this and found that it can do more than launchy. It is not just to lunch the applications. It has wonderful features like enso map which can display the map of selected address even in Microsoft Words or Gmail. It can be used as application launcher, media remote control, translator, calculator and much more.
Unlike Launchy, Enso use Caps Lock key to activate. Here, I was wondering how can I type Caps Letter when I am writing a letter. But after I have tried this application, I realized that it is not a problem. Caps Lock is the key that people use it very seldom. And if you really need to use, Enso allows to turn on Caps Lock key.
However, you need to know the supported command list to use all features. If you want to find out more, I suggest you to watch their demo. A tech blog, cybernetnews, says that it is better than Launchy in many aspects.

Enso sounds an interesting bit of freeware, will have to take a closer look!
I have only recently taken a look at Launchy as I have been using RocketDock (also free) for quite a while now … looks like I’ve some catching up to do!!

Just for application launcher, I would prefer Launchy. It is simple and easy to use.
But I like Enso for other features like enso map. It’s wonderful.
