- Burmese government has agreed to accept the US emergency aid assistance. The government allowed at least one US military plane to deliver supplies to Yangon. read more
- Singapore Polytechnic shows their compassion and care for the victims in Burma. Department of Student and Alumni Affairs(SAA) will accept donations through cheque or cash. Some SP students including Burmese students will also be doing campus-wide collection. read more

Update-3
- The senior U.S.diplomat in Burma said the death toll from cyclone may exceed 100,000 and 70,000 people are missing. But Burmese government estimated 22,000 death and 41,000 are missing.
- Many Aid Agencies are ready to go into the country but to get visas is the problem. United Nations urged the government to grant visas to international relief workers. If the delay continues, the situation in Burma could be worse.
- Hundreds of World Vision staff are in Burma with limited supplies
- Many Countries and organizations are offering help but yet to be accepted by the government.
